Today Wednesday, March 26, 2008 Via Garibaldi, Via Bernagozzi and C.so Vittorio Emanuele II in downtown Portsmouth will be closed to traffic to allow the conduct of search and location of a bomb remnants of war allegedly buried in Bernagozzi Street - the section between the intersections with streets Garibaldi and Cavour.
Yesterday they started the excavation site preparation. It will therefore be excluded from the pedestrian and bicycle in areas near the construction site.
The work will not block the walkway in the streets concerned by and do not relate to the arcades in the City Hall so the businesses and public offices will be accessible from Via Dante Alighieri.
Imagine if were to really find ....
